Kitchen Update: A New Refrigerator

Our New Refrigerator

We found a great deal on a floor model stainless steel, counter-depth refrigerator on Saturday. Our old refrigerator was a hand-me-down from Gary's parents. The old fridge would freeze the lettuce and other produce, so it was time for an update. This new refrigerator has a really unique feature we can use if we ever decide to convert to Judaism--a "holiday" mode button that you push for the Jewish Sabbath. It turns off the interior lights and the condenser thus "Keeping the Sabbath Day holy" by not working!

We also purchased a microwave/oven combination that matches--but Gary needs to build the cabinets and install it before we can use it.

We are looking forward to using our "new kitchen" this Thanksgiving when we have our "Whiting Family Reunion" with all of Gary's brothers and their families.
