Gary and Charlie installing the new built-in microwave/oven combo
Today Gary and Charlie installed the built-in microwave/oven combination. Gary positioned it low enough so that his 5' 2" wife could easily open the microwave oven door without having to stand on her tiptoes. The microwave is on top, and a regular oven is on the bottom. Both the microwave and oven have convection capabilities. And...the oven is self-cleaning! Debi is looking forward to pushing a button before bedtime and waking up to a clean oven.
Baking cookies in the new oven
Oatmeal Chocolate chip cookies--Gary's favorite--were the first things we baked in the new oven. They turned out darker than Debi thought they should be, but Gary likes his cookies well-done, so he was happy! It always takes a few tries to get used to a new oven.
