Beyond the great room, to the south, is our master bedroom suite. The most unique feature of the "suite" is the bathroom. You can see from the floorplan that you will have to walk through the shower area to get to the bathtub. The walk-in shower has seven showerheads/body sprayers. Gary likes to call the whole thing "the wet room" and it will be 45 square feet--10'x4.5'. That's a lot of tile to scrub!
Notice the HUGE walk-in closet off our master bedroom. We like our bedroom to be just that--a BED room--so the dressing area will be in the closet. The only thing in the bedroom will be our log bed and two nightstands. We saw an episode of "Extreme Home Makeover" where they put the washer and dryer in the master bedroom closet. Since there is just the two of us, we thought this was a great idea. Of course, if we ever sell our log home, most "normal" people would want a regular laundry room, so we included one off the garage. (What am I doing talking about selling when it isn't even built yet?)
We will have two other bedrooms. Debi is looking forward to getting all of her Dalmatian stuff out of storage and decorating one of the bedrooms with the "101 Dalmatians" theme again. The other bedroom will be traditional log decor--minus any heads or antlers of animals! We plan to make a really "sweet" small bathroom in the front hall. We saw these "cool" sinks on a website. The one we want is from their "Earthen Fantasy" collection called "Tranquilous". It is shown on the right side on the front of their catalogue. All that decorating is a long time from now, but that's the fun part!
