Underground Plumbing, Electrical, Propane, and Telephone Conduit Installed

During the past two weeks, Gary has been busy installing the underground utilities--the electrical conduit, the telephone conduit, the water lines, the propane pipe, and the septic and plumbing lines. It's the kind of work that is tedious and time-consuming, and when you look at it, you think, "Is that all that got finished today?" After three different inspections from three different county inspectors, it finally was "signed off" and passed inspection--but not without some modifications and yet another trip to Home Depot and Lowes.

Next, Gary had to fill in all the ditches. In this picture, you can see the black and gray pipes sticking out of the ground. He has also been working on laying down a foam thermal barrier in the footings. The thermal barrier will also be installed under the cement slab. You can see the sheets of white foam sitting on the ground on the left-side of the picture. This picture was taken as you face west (note the big pine tree for visual reference.)
